The End of Lake Season

It's that time of year again. The weather finally starts to cool off and fall is approaching. I decided to take lots of pictures at the lake this time since it might be the last trip to the lake this year. It was even a tad bit chilly when the sun went behind the clouds because it was quite the windy day. Anyways...here are the last bit of Raystown Lake photos of the year.

Dylan has become quite the water baby this summer. He LOVES going to the lake! I told him we were going to the lake that morning. Every 5 minutes, he ran to the front door and said, "Swimmin....Lake...Water." He was trying to run out the door at 8 a.m., lol! He loves getting in the water to play & "swim." He takes his jet-ski in the water to play. He even splashed Mommy like crazy & laughed and laughed. I almost took a tumble in the water trying to get away from the splashing. You know...the arms waving in circles scene, ha!

Rocks are one of Dylan's favorite things. So when he's not in the water playing, he is probably playing with rocks on the shore. He found a shell randomly on the ground last time and then spent a good amount of time exploring & looking for more.

After Dylan polishes off his own lunch, he scouts others for chips, lol. He's pretty good at sharing but also loves chips, haha.

Dylan tried to convince me that he wanted a nap. He actually has taken a nap or two with this kind of set up before but not very often. He usually saves the nap for the car ride home. He falls asleep in less than 5 minutes.

Dylan & Daddy swimming in the lake. A little water baby & a grown up water baby, lol.

I'm not totally sure what was going on here but I think the picture is entertaining, lol. Dylan always asks Grandpa Gray for cookies, haha. Seriously...he has never asked me for a cookie at the lake. He always goes to Grandpa and sometimes Grandma.

I love this picture. I love his face. I love him! I could keep on babbling but the words mean nothing compared to what I feel for this little boy! Seriously though...look at those sweet blue eyes...how could you ever resist?

And these last couple pictures are of Daddy playing one of the jet-skis. I guess this is what Dylan has to look forward to, LOL.

The Big Ball

As I mentioned before, Dylan kidnapped by exercise ball and adopted it as his own, lol. He loves playing with it outside. I thought I would share some pictures...

Dylan being a goof! He is growing up SO fast!

I can't remember what he was telling me at the time, but he was trying to get his point across. I think he wanted me to go with him for a walk to look for bunnies. Dylan's version of that, "Mommy..walk..bunnies..over there....okay." I love his sentences, LOL!

Dylan was attacking some ants, lol.

"I see plane...up there."

Autumn came over for 3 days last week. Dylan had a blast having a friend over for a few days! Actually, he was attached at my hip on Thursday, lol. I spent every minute playing with cars, blocks, books, balls, and some coloring too, lol. Basically I got to re-live a day as a toddler, lol. Anyway, Dylan & Autumn had a fun 3 days!

"What color is this?"

Dylan learns a ton of new things all the time. He loves telling you all about ABC's & has actually started to learn the alphabet song. He is always counting things & asking what color everything is. He has even moved on to learning his shapes as well. Wow...he is like a sponge, lol. Over the months, he has picked up on A LOT and keeps adding more new things everyday.

Dylan stole my big exercise ball to keep for himself, lol. It's not like I ever use it anyway. He loves taking the big ball outside to play with. This is Daddy & Dylan playing outside with the ball. I love how he yells, "There it goes." Dylan cracks us up every day!

More Fun at the Lake

Dylan playing with his truck, trailer & jet-ski at the lake. Every Sunday that we go to Raystown, he gets a little more brave. I know that I said it in the last post so I won't go into great details again. It just amazes me that he becomes a little more of a water baby every week. It was hard to keep him out of the water last weekend. He had so much fun!

Dylan & Grandpa Gray checking out the scenery and wondering why I am taking a picture of them.

One time when Jeff came back in, Dylan tried to go out into the water without anyone to meet him. Actually, he didn't even look to see if I was coming with him. He just started out into the water, powering through the waves, all to get to Daddy!

Dylan brought toys with him that day. He even played with his own jet-ski in the lake. That being said, Grandpa can also put a little water in an empty soda bottle & Dylan finds a way to make it hilariously fun.

I had to put these two pictures up because his face in both of them are priceless, ha ha. It's amazing what you can make into a toy, lol.

Dylan trying on Mommy's life jacket.  I think it's still a tad big!

Just Add Water

So it's a extremely hot & humid Friday in August...Dylan loves to play outside but immediately started telling me "hot, hot" as soon as we went outside. I filled up a couple of squirt guns and water balloons and his face lit up. He had the biggest grin on his face when I handed him a bucket of water balloons, lol.

Before when Dylan wanted to play with water balloons, he would say, "Pop a ball," lol. It was pretty cute. However, he quickly picked up the word balloon and now tells you that there is water in there, lol.

He had a blast throwing the water balloons as you can see, lol. Quick side note: Look at
 the crazy hair.  He had
these little curls at the tips.

He's pretty brave and pulls on the balloons A LOT! He actually popped two water balloons in his hands that I somehow managed to catch on video. I'll add it to the bottom of the post when I get a chance to put it up.

Another example of Dylan squeezing the balloons. These balloons are round! I can't believe he didn't pop more of them in his face, lol.

Dylan also had a couple of water guns as well. He spent most of the time spraying the chairs and his own head and face. It was really hot out that day though, lol.

Lauren & Autumn's House

Autumn just celebrated her 5th birthday last Saturday! Happy Birthday Autumn! Her Aunt Kristen & Uncle Jack built her this sandbox for her birthday. Dylan & I visited Lauren & Autumn this week and he got to check out her new sandbox and slip-n-slide.

Dylan has recently become even more obsessed with cameras than he ever was before. It's actually quite hard to even get a picture of him before he runs over to you and says "Me see," lol. He'll always get in a picture with you and say "cheese" though.

Dylan playing in the sandbox. He couldn't have cared less about it at first. That is, until Autumn started playing. Suddenly, he thought it was pretty cool and started scooping sand into a bucket.

Dylan was definitely unsure about the slip-n-slide, lol. He spent most of the time playing in the water that sprayed over it and in the pool at the bottom. Whatever floats your boat little man, lol.

It was funny to watch Dylan observe Autumn. The longer that we were there, the more of a shadow he became, lol. She would run from the sandbox to the slip-n-slide and he would take off after her, lol.

Summer is Great!!!

Little Bald Boy

After I put the last group of videos up of Dylan a year ago, I realized that I don't have very many videos up of him as my cute little bald baby. So I decided to add some more flashback videos...Enjoy!

Ok...this first video was taken with my digital "still" camera. It records video but with no sound and this was before we got our Flip video cameras so it's a silent movie, lol. Dylan is 3 weeks old in this video...so tiny!!

In the next video, Dylan is 9 months old. He was sitting in his high chair entertaining Daddy while Mommy tried to make dinner, lol.

The next video is Dylan's first steps on his own. He had been cruising along everything for some time and barely even holding on. I knew the first steps would be coming soon so I kept my camera with me at all times and recorded just about everything, lol. I was determined to catch his first steps on camera, LOL. Hey...you might be laughing at me...but I succeeded.

And the last video for this post is Dylan standing up on his own without using anything to pull himself up. I was recording him being a goof because he didn't like the grass touching his bare skin back then, ha ha.

I'm going to keep trying to add more and more videos...both old & new. So until next time....
