Raystown Lake

Dylan & I woke up Sunday morning to hard rain. I assumed that we were going to stay home instead of going to Raystown. Out of nowhere, the rain stopped so Dylan & I went to wake up Daddy to see if we were going to try to go to the lake or stay home. After thinking it through for a minute, we decided to go to the lake. We quickly got ready and packed up the car and headed out to spend the day at Raystown.

Most Sundays at Raystown are packed with people.  The parking lots are full, the swimming area is packed, and limited areas to set up and hang out for the day.  We are normally camped out on top of a small hill right next to the lake.  This day...there were no people.  There were barely any cars in the parking lot & boats on the water (as you can see from the picture above).  So we set up shop down on the rocky, sandy shore right next to the water.  Dylan was in rock heaven, lol!

Dylan & Grandma getting in the water for a bit. Dylan keeps getting more and more brave every time we go to the lake. He wants to go further, stay in longer, etc. However, when waves roll in and crash, he still gets a little freaked out. He's not a big fan of waves, lol.

Aunt Amanda, Dylan & Grandma playing in the lake. I was surprised at how deep Dylan wanted to go.  One of the times Jeff went out to get on a jet-ski, Dylan decided that he wanted to go too.  He kept trying to get Grandma to take him out that deep. Maybe soon he'll be able to go out and ride with Daddy.

Yay...Rocks!!! Dylan carrying his rocks to the shore. Dylan has a small obsession with rocks. He always has, lol. He loves dropping the rocks back in the water. Dylan wanted all the rocks at the bottom of the lake but was too scared to bend down to pick them up himself, lol.

Earlier in the day, Dylan dropped a big rock in the water and tried to bend down to get it. As soon as he bent down, a wave knocked him off balance and he dove head first into the water but Grandma was there to grab him quickly.  The first thing he said when she picked him up was "My Rock!?!"

Daddy coming back in after taking a jet-ski out for a bit. It turned out to be a gorgeous day out.  The sun was shining & the water was pretty warm.  I went out with Jeff on Amanda's jet-ski later that day and got dunked quite a bit.

Daddy & Dylan playing in the lake. Dylan had a blast playing at the lake! He was so wiped out after playing in the sun & water all day, that he passed out and took an extra nap on the way home, lol.
