Snack Time Entertainer!

This video was taken after Dylan was finished with his snack. Dylan sat there, ate his cheese crackers, and watched me clean up around the kitchen. When he was finished eating, this is what he does, lol. I had some music playing in the backgroud and it all started with me trying to tape him dancing. But as soon as I took the camera out and turned it on, I got this character instead of Dancing Dylan, lol.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Goofy Boy Weekend!

This weekend, I had several places I had to go and things I had to do.  Jeff has been slammed at work lately and was working from home on Saturday.  Therefore, I decided to take little man with me so that Daddy could have a nice, quiet house to get some work done.  Dylan & I got ready, packed up the car, and headed for Chambersburg/Mercersburg.

The first thing on our agenda for the day was to meet Mommy's cousin, Nicole, at J & B Bridal to get fitted for my bridesmaid's dress.  The place was packed, as it usually is around this time of year.  While we were waiting in line to talk to somebody, Dylan caught a little girl's attention who was in line next to us.  She was quite intrigued by Dylan and started talking to him immediately.  Dylan played shy this time and just gave her "the look."  It didn't seem to matter to her though, she decided she was going to lean over and lay a big kiss on him, lol.  A bunch of people standing around us all let out a collaborative "Awwwwww."  I'm in serious trouble.  All little girls love Dylan.  He has already been kissed by quite a few of them, lol.  We were in and out of J & B Bridal as quickly as possibly and headed off to the next activity.

Mommy-to-be opening Brayden's presents.

Next, we headed to Mercersburg for a baby shower for another one of Mommy's cousins, Cortney.  When we got here, Dylan played shy for a little bit.  He sat at the table with Mom, Aunt Lisha, Great-Grandma Guyer, and some other relatives as well.  He was very good for quite some time and played at the table with some books and other toys Mom brought along.  Eventually though, sitting at the table became boring and he jumped down from the chair to go exploring.  The baby shower was at the American Legion in Mercersburg.  Most of the tables were set up at the front of the room therefore, Dylan had plenty of room to walk, run, and explore.  It might have been the ideal large social situation for him, lol.  There were A LOT of people there, however, most of them were not paying too much attention to him.  He definitely came out of his shyness quickly though.  Before I knew it, he was walking away from me into a group of women he didn't know.  He kept trying to flirt with some of the younger girls there too.  I had never seen him so sociable towards complete strangers or at least most of them were.  Long story short, Dylan had a blast playing there and even gave the Mommy-to-be some love too.

After we left the baby shower, Dylan & I went to Grandma & Grandpa Faith's house to visit for a little bit.  After hanging out at the house for a little, we all went out to eat.  Aunt Blake waited on us.  Uncle Cam sat next to Dylan in the booth.  Dylan's uncles like to teach him all kinds of fun stuff.  They also like to get him really wound up too.  But I must say, he always has fun when he gets to spend time with his Uncle Cam and his Uncle Dust.  Dylan had a blast and actually ran away from me when it was time to leave, lol.  The boy was so wiped out by the time we got home that he only cracked his eyes open once when I carried him in, got him ready for bed, and tucked him in, lol.

The next day, we had some visitors too!  Grandma & Grandpa Gray, Aunt Amanda & JR came up to visit us.  Dylan was being quite the entertainer again.  Grandma Gray was "base" for quite some time and he would sprint across the living room diving onto her lap.  Dylan was so silly the whole weekend.  He kept trying to walk around with his eyes closed and arms out in front of him for some reason.  He also would lay on the floor and arch his back as much as he could at what looked like an attempt at some sort of backbend or something, lol.  I don't know if he was so goofy this weekend because he almost always had an audience or if this is just a new thing at the time, lol.

Valentine's Day Weekend!

First of all, I hope that everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!! Dylan received a couple of Valentine's Day cards in the mail! He loves opening stuff that he gets in the mail, lol. He got two cards. One card was from Mamma G and the other card was from Great-Grandma & Grandpa Guyer. Here is a video of Dylan right after he opened his cards.

We spent our Valentine's Day at home with each other (just where I wanted to be, hehe). Dylan made Daddy a Happy Valentine's Day card early in the morning while Daddy was still sleeping. We let him sleep in a little bit but then Dylan woke him up and gave him his card. It was the perfect day to spend together. All three of us went grocery shopping in the afternoon to get some good stuff for dinner & dessert. We decided to make all kinds of goodies for each other, lol. Jeff was making all of us dinner that night and oh man was it good! Daddy made us steak & crab cakes for dinner, mmm mmm. Mommy made some home-made chocolate cupcakes for our dessert, mmm mmm, lol. Anyways, it was a wonderful day that the three of us spent together, having fun, playing, cooking, eating great food. And that was just Saturday! Sunday is the Supercross Day, lol!

So moving on to Sunday...Supercross Day! Now that the football season is over, we only have a couple hours of Supercross to watch on Sundays. It obviously isn't the beginning of the season. I actually think that they are 7 or so races in already. Either way, every Sunday, Daddy & Dylan turn on the Supercross races and cheer on Team Green, lol. Although Dylan was brainwashed to love Team Green, he still cheers for James Stewart, lol! He honestly sticks his fist in the air and says "BUBBA!" Who doesn't love Bubba though, lol? Here is a picture of Dylan supporting the team on Supercross Sundays!

High Five

Last night, while waiting on Daddy to get home from work, Dylan & I curled up on the couch together and were watching videos (mostly of himself) from my FLIP camera. Most of these videos are quite long and consist of many different activities. Every once in a while, when I watch the video the whole way through again, I'll see or catch something I didn't the first time. This is the case with the following video. As I said, we were both curled up together watching these videos when the following clip played. I busted up laughing and completely lost it. Dylan thought that it was so hilarious that I was laughing like this and kept trying to imitate my laugh with his very fake, forced one. This of course only made me laugh harder! So the following video is just a very short, quick clip but quite funny indeed!

Check out his facial expressions the 2nd time he says "high five," hahaha!

Have a good weekend!!!

Translation Please

Every day, right before Daddy gets home from work, Dylan has a TON of energy! Usually I am making dinner at the time so Dylan runs laps between the kitchen and living room chatting up a storm. Last night, Daddy had to work a little late because he has been really busy. Therefore, Dylan & I had a quick dinner and played in the living room until he got home. He still had tons of energy, lol! There are a couple funny things about this video.
  1. Dylan's conversations consisting of jibberish that I need a translation for, haha.  It's really funny because he can actually say quite a lot of words now but there are moments when he has entire conversations in Dylan, lol.
  2. All his wacky body language. He really cares about what he is saying, lol.
  3. Check out his funky hair...haha. He took a nap and woke up with his hair like this. After that happens, there's no taming it back down, lol.

I just took this video today in the afternoon. It is very similar to the first video I put up so I decided to just add it to this post. First of all, Dylan is obsessed with empty containers of any sort including empty milk jugs, soda bottles, diaper boxes, etc. This video makes me laugh because it was almost like he was giving me a tour and telling me about everything, lol. Also, one of Dylan's favorite hang out spots is in any of our kitchen cupboards. I baby-proofed the lazy susan which basically contains most of our stuff. Therefore, Dylan has the big empty cupboard under the sink, which is his personal favorite place hang out or stash stuff for later. Seriously, if I am ever looking for something that I know Dylan had last and I cannot find it anywhere then it is usually under the sink, lol. And then there is this cupboard. It contains Dylan's second favorite past time while playing in the kitchen...pots & pans! If he's not playing with them, he is camping out in the cupboard with them, lol!

Get Well Mamma G!

Happy Birthday & Get Well Mamma G!

Today is Grandma Ginger or Mamma G's birthday! Her birthday is exactly one week after mine. Dylan & I planned a day trip back to Mercersburg to spend the day with Grandma for her birthday, or at least that was the original plan. Unfortunately, Grandma broke her elbow at work on Thursday!!! Dylan & I still wanted to go back to visit but now it was not only a birthday visit but a get well visit too. Grandma is doing pretty well considering that she has a broken elbow. She did get good news yesterday when she found out that she would not have to get surgery. She might still have to get a cast over her arm but might also be able to just keep it in the sling. She will find out more later but seems to be doing pretty well considering. For now, she is supposed to rest up and recuperate with her arm in a sling. Dylan gave her some get well hugs & kisses yesterday! We hope you get well soon Grandma! We love you!

Dylan had a very fun day playing at Grandma's house.  He was very energetic and curious about everything.  Dylan especially loves that Grandma has "ki-ki's."  Last time we were at Grandma's house he met a little pint sized kitten and had so much fun playing with him.

This kitten quite literally slept on the couch for hours.  She pretty much let Dylan do whatever he wanted.  At one point, Dylan thought it was a good idea to curl up on the couch with some blankets and the kitty.

Dylan was pretty gentle with the kitten.  Every so often I would have to remind him to "be nice," but for the most part, he was!  He loves animals but we are not allowed animals where we currently live.  Maybe someday we'll have a cat or dog but for now it is very nice he gets to visit with everyone's cats & dogs.

I packed quite a bit of toys to try to keep Dylan for exploring all the "non-baby" items, haha.  He was only interested in his toys for a minute or so before he started really exploring Grandma's house.  He remembered where Grandma had a hula hoop stashed and quick found it to play with, haha.

Always good for a laugh...

Who knew that a cup could be so much fun! Thank you Grandma & Grandpa Gray for this one. Who needs toys when you can make anything fun, haha?

This is Dylan trying on Daddy's shoes. We were hanging out of playing in the living room and he randomly decided to try on Daddy's shoes. He was being such a goof ball. His fake laughing was just as funny as him putting the shoes on, lol.

OUCH!

While Dylan is taking  his second nap of the day, I decided to post the events of our crazy day.  Today started out like any other day.  We had a fantastic morning.  We played, talked, sung, and danced.  Little man became tired and decided it was time for an early nap today.  He sleep for about an hour.  Dylan got up and played between the living room and kitchen while I started making the both of us some lunch.  And then it happened....

Dylan came running from the living room to the kitchen. About half way across, he tripped, fell, and hit his face on the kitchen floor. I came running and quick. I scooped him up and realized he was bleeding and quite a bit so we ran to the bathroom to assess the damage. This was all pretty scary. Dylan has been hurt before but never this bad. After a few minutes, I could finally see that his tooth cut his lip when he fell. He calmed down almost right away and kept trying to touch his newly puffy lip. So it was quite a scary afternoon for both of us but luckily it is not as bad as it immediately appeared. Within 20 minutes or so he was already jumping his 4 wheeler and laughing at the fish (one of his new favorite hobbies).
