Happy Birthday Boys!

Happy 3rd Birthday Dylan &
Happy 30th Birthday Jeff!
The boys celebrated their 3rd birthday together over the weekend.  We had a small birthday party at Grandma & Grandpa Gray's house to celebrate with good food, presents, cake & awesome family!  It was a great party & a great time.  Thank you to everyone to helped make the boys' day a special one!

The very awesome birthday cake!  Dylan's favorite movie is Cars & loves all the characters from that movie.  His cake this year was Lightning McQueen!  Thank you Grandma Gray!

Dylan enjoying some of his birthday cake & ice cream!  I can't believe my little boy is 3 years old!

Dylan was so excited to open all his presents.  Daddy & Dylan sat center stage and ripped into all of their gifts.  Dylan loved every single one.

Thank you again to everyone for all of the awesome gifts!  Dylan is spending a rainy Monday exploring all his new stuff.

A picture of just a few of the guests that came to celebrate the boys' birthday.  The weather couldn't have been any nicer.  It really was an all around awesome day.
Dylan's buddies, Kadee & Kaylee came to celebrate and play!  He had a blast playing with them all afternoon.  When it was time for them to go, he gave them both big hugs!

The twins were so sweet too!  They sat right in front of Dylan and quietly watched him open all his presents.  They are such amazing kids!

And of course you cannot forget about Kiersten!  She was such a ham & making just about everyone smile and laugh at one point.  She is such a little ball of sunshine!  I'm so glad that all three of the girls could come & celebrate with Dylan!

Thank you again to everyone for everything!  You all helped make Dylan & Jeff's birthdays a great one!

Hiking at Kings Gap

Kings Gap is a PA state park in Cumberland County.  At the top of the mountain is a gorgeous mansion overlooking the valleys below.  The park also had 16 miles of hiking trails including a Scenic Vista Trail,  which we decided to hike for the day.  It's labeled as an easy to moderate trail that has benches strategically placed so that you may relax & enjoy the view of Michaux State Forest.

The Labor Day weekend brought with it the most gorgeous outdoor weather you could dream of.  All week we have been roasting in the 90 degree temperature that broke just in time for the holiday weekend.  So the three of us decided to do some hiking in the perfect hiking weather.

We packed a little picnic lunch to take with us on our hike so we stopped about halfway through our hike to sit, relax & refuel.

Dylan hiking down a rocky hill with Daddy.  Dylan quite enjoys being in the woods and observing every little detail.  He had to touch almost every single tree that was on or beside the path.  Last time we went hiking, he had to stand on every rock.  What can I say, he soaks it all in, haha.

Daddy, Dylan & Mommy at the "Scenic Overlook."  It was gorgeous!  Sitting on those benches and feeling the refreshing breeze was just what I wanted and needed on a beautiful day like this.

We did roughly 2 miles of hiking that day.  Dylan did an excellent job hiking, even up the steep, rocky parts near the top.  It was not surprising that he was going to crash.  Daddy gave Dylan a lift for the last part of our hike back to the car.  I was sure that he was going to fall asleep perched up there, haha.  He did fall asleep and take quite a nap on the ride home though.

Mamma G & Aunt Alisha

Mamma G & Aunt Alisha decided to visit & play for a day.  Dylan was more than excited to have them come visit.  He entertained quite a bit and was super full of himself that day.  Dylan's little mouth never stops talking about something, which is understandable when you consider who his Momma is, lol.

We all went to Logan Park later in the morning to play before the sun started scorching us with this 90 degree weather.  Is it me or does that seem unnaturally hot to anyone else?  I do just keep getting larger and larger so there is a real good chance that it might just be me, ha ha.

As soon as we got there, Dylan met a little friend.  The little boy came running up to Dylan when we got out of the car and said something about playing together & off the two boys went.  Dylan's shyness is pretty much gone!  These two boys instantly clicked and started playing on the jungle gyms together.

Dylan & his new friend were pretty much the same age.  Both of them are turning 3 this month.  Ahhh, toddlers.  They say hello and are instantly friends, ha ha.
