Baby Audrey

Our friend Brad & his wife Amanda recently had a beautiful little girl.  We finally got a chance to go visit and meet the new addition.  She is a doll.  It is so hard to remember that babies start this small, lol.  She is a month old already.  Time flys!  Congrats again to Brad & Amanda!

Boys & Tools

Uncle Dust & Dylan "playing" with tools.

Happy Birthday Aunt Amanda!

Aunt Amanda's birthday was yesterday so we traveled to the Gray house for a little birthday get-together. Aunt Amanda blowing out the candles on her cake.  Dylan really wanted to help blow out the candles.  I clearly remember him refusing to blow out the candles on his 2nd birthday, lol.  Silly kids!

Dylan playing with his little garage and cars, one of his favorite past times when we go to Grandma & Grandpa Gray's house.
Books are a big favorite of his too.  Grandma Gray even has a favorite rabbit book, ha ha!

A Big Letter D

This past week has given us much appreciated warm weather.  It finally didn't feel like the dead of Winter.  The tempetures actually made it above 50 degrees.  Not to mention, the snow is officially & completely gone. I saw quite enough of it this Winter.  I have never been so ready for Spring.  Although Dylan did enjoy the huge snow storms quite a bit, he was glad to see the warm weather and sunshine too.  We spent hours outside every single day trying to soak in as much sunshine and fresh air as we could possibly get.  Dylan also go to revisit some more Spring-like activities like coloring & drawing with sidewalk chalk.

Dylan has gained a ton of control with his drawing and coloring.  He has nearly perfected his letter D which is one of his favorite letters, lol.

Dylan & Kiersten

It has been far too long since we have seen Aunt Joan, Nicole & Kiersten.  Dylan & I made plans to go hang out with the ladies for a day.  Kiersten is now crawling around everywhere, pulling herself up on just about anything she can get her hands on, and cruising along everything.  Before you know it, she'll be taking her first steps on her own.

Dylan was a little shy at first but was playing & talking up a storm in no time.  I'm glad they got to hear all of his crazy language these days.  His sentences are coming together quickly.  Some times a few words might be misplaced however, he talks A LOT!  He must take after his Mommy, lol.  He is still obsessed with letters and is quick to tell you all about them.  I just can't believe how sponge-like his brain is.  It seems like he picks up everything the minute he hears it.  After we got home that night, he pointed to a picture in a book and told me it was a "back-hoe."  I never heard him use that word before so I asked him how he learned about that "truck" and he told me Aunt Joan told him, lol.  Giant Sponge!!!

We had a great day and definitely have to set some more play dates up now that Winter is finally on it's way out and Spring is around the corner!!

"Ziggy Says" Contest

Ziggy Marley has a children's album out called Family Time.  Although we do not have the whole album, Jeff bought a live album of Ziggy Marley that included a few of his songs from Family Time.  Included in these songs was an ABC song, "Family Time", and "Ziggy Says."  Dylan LOVES these songs.  He loves to dance to them too.  So when I heard a few months ago that Ziggy Marley was having a "Ziggy Says" Contest I decided to check it out.  You were supposed to send a video of your little one dancing to the song and even though Dylan didn't know all the motions, he danced his own kind of way to that song.  It was too adorable and decided that I should at least try.  What's the harm in trying?  So I sent in Dylan's video.  I know I've posted it on here before and could be found by digging through the videos but just to make it easier I'm reposting it in this post, ha ha.

The winner of this contest received a signed Fender guitar!!!  Unfortunately Dylan was not the winner.  I did, however, get an email saying that Ziggy loved all the entries so much that he wanted to send everyone a little something.  That something came in the mail yesterday.  I was expecting maybe a t-shirt or some stickers or something pretty small so I was quite impressed when I saw all of this.  Dylan was too!  He hasn't put that Yo-yo down yet and he doesn't even know how to play with it, lol.  Most of the time he drags it around like he is leading a pet on a leash, ha ha ha.  Either way... I figured I would share the story and a picture of Dylan's first contest.

Dylan got a t-shirt, autographed picture, yo-yo, stickers, a patch, and a couple of notebooks with Bob on them.  Very cool!  I think I'm claiming that notebook on top though... Can I take commission for sending in the video, ha ha ha.
