Birthdays, Cookout & a Pool

Aunt Joan had a little family get-together/cookout on Sunday where the family had a chance to get together, eat some good food & go swimming.  My cousin, Sam, celebrated her birthday on Friday. Uncle Dusty celebrated his birthday on Saturday.  So we celebrated a couple July birthdays, played & had a wonderful day.

Kadee & Kaylee jumping in the pool.  After a few thunderstorms finally passed, almost everyone got back in the pool to cool off in the summer heat.

Kiersten munching on a big hunk of watermelon.  Overall, it was a fantastic day... a great summer time party!

Sum... Sum... Summertime!!!

Dylan is loving the jet-skis this summer.  Daddy & Dylan take rides all over the lake & he is always eager for the next ride.

Just another picture of Jeff jumping yet another wave...  But I do like taking pictures of my favorite boys so here they are.

Dylan was walking over to the beach area to go swimming.  If you couldn't tell... I finally took the long-haired hippie boy to get his hair cut again.  Much needed in this intensely hot summer!  It does make him look so much older though...

Fun at the Lake

I just wanted to post a few pictures from another day at Raystown Lake.  Dylan resting on the blanket & playing with his toy jet-ski while he waits patiently for another ride on the big jet-ski with Daddy.

Jeff enjoying the sun & water!

Dylan & Grandma relaxing & reading a book in the shade.

Charlotte & Dylan

Dylan & Charlotte playing on the swings.  These two munchkins get along so well together.  It's quite nice to just sit back and watch their little minds coming up with games to play and things to do.

We stopped by to visit Brad, Christy & Charlotte over the holiday weekend for dinner, playing & even some small fireworks.  The little ones absolutely loved the sparklers!

A slide is a big favorite with any kid, lol.  When the day was done & it was time to leave.  Dylan & Charlotte gave each other hugs and kisses.  Charlotte even told Dylan, "I love you," which he responded with "I love you too, Charlotte."  The whole goodbye scene was enough to melt anyone...

Cunningham Falls State Park

We spent our long holiday weekend by enjoying quite a bit of sunshine.  We took a day trip to Cunningham Falls State Park in Maryland.  We spent the day hiking, swimming at the beach, and even a nice picnic lunch.  It was a great day!

In Cunningham Falls State Park is... you guessed it... Cunningham Falls, lol.  It's 78 foot waterfall, which is the largest cascading waterfall in Maryland.  This was our first adventure in the park.  All three of us hiked back to the waterfall.  Dylan had to stop every 5 or so steps to point at a boulder and say, "Ohhh, look at this big rock."  He quite enjoyed the hike.

After hiking down to the falls and back, we ate our little picnic lunch by the lake.  After everyone was refueled, the boys decided that they wanted to go down to the beach at the lake to go swimming.  I opted out of this opportunity because it was only about 75 degrees that day.

It was a wonderful way to start the long, 4th of July weekend!!
